With the coming of Thanksgiving, it is time to give thanks online. Well, it’s time to show you some tricks that your company should be thankful for. These five tricks will make you more productive and lead to more profit.
1.Divide And Conquer
You should do everything everywhere at the same time. Just kidding. The beauty about social media is you can chose to be on: one, all, none or a few of the social platforms. It is based on what works best for your company and the customers you are targeting. Think about where and how you want to reach your customers before you sign up for your different profiles. This leads into the next trick.
2. Integrate When Necessary
Yes, you can and probably should be on more than one social platform, but that doesn’t mean they are separate entities. Your company should differentiate itself on each platform with the same brand consistency, but it is okay to overlap sometimes. It is more than okay to post a pin on Pinterest, and then have a link to it on your Facebook page. This gives your customers more than one way to interact with you online to tie it all together.
3.Plan Ahead
It is more than just a “good idea” to have a social media plan in mind. If you stay ahead of your game on posts, then you will be able to schedule when you want them released and your worries will be gone! Facebook updated their Company Pages, so you are now able to write a post and schedule when you want it released. You can do the same with your blog posts. If you don’t have the time to plan that far ahead, there is always the option of hiring an outside agency to do all the work for you.
4.Utilize Analytics
You can post to your heart’s content, but if you don’t monitor it, then it doesn’t do you any good. If you aren’t paying attention to your page analytics, how are you supposed to figure out what is working and what isn’t? You should look at your analytics at least once a week, if not more. It is productive to see how your user interaction is going, and what you can do to change it in a positive way. In the end it is about giving your consumers value when they connect with you online, but first you need to figure out what they want!
5. Optimize Everywhere!
Optimization isn’t just for websites! You need to make sure that your company optimizes in every aspect of your online marketing efforts. Your data should be constantly updated, absorbed and learned. Know what channels of communication are available to use, and optimize it! You should do this with each campaign, not only in real-time but also for long term as well.
