It is not doubt that Social Media has been one of the biggest topics for the last couple of years. Nielsen has released their Q3 Report on Social Media and how consumers are using it. Over the next few weeks we will be breaking down this report. Today we would like to point out what this report has to say about Facebook topping all other social media accounts.
We all know that Facebook is the biggest of them all, but really how big is it?
According to the report…
- Females and 18-34 Year Olds are the most active Social Networkers
- Men are more likely to visit LinkedIn
- More people are now accessing social media from mobile phones than ever before
- Over twice as many people aged 55+ visited social networking sites from their mobile phone than last year
- Women are more likely to view videos, however men will watch the videos longer.
- Active Social Media Users are Influential Offline
- Tumblr Nearly Tripled Its Unique US Audience over the last year
