Today Facebook announced that they are rolling out a new feature that enables users to reply directly to comments left on their page. (Cue sigh of relief here)
Facebook’s goal is to make navigating through conversations on threads much easier with the new reply feature. Instead of having to tag a friend way after they left their comment, you can respond right after their comment. Your response will be posted after their original comment.
They are also prioritizing comments based on engagement; the most active users will be at the top of your posts. This will be beneficial on the pages with thousands of followers.
Currently the threaded replies are only on Facebook Pages, and are not available yet on profiles. Users can opt into the new replies through the Page admin panel. By July 10th, Facebook will bring the new feature to all pages that have more than 10,000 followers. This new feature is only functional on desktop, but they are working on making it available in the Graph API and for mobile in the near future.
